The Dental Examination

A complete dental exam and cleaning are suggested twice-yearly for children and adults of all ages. During your initial dental examination at River Rock Dental, our staff will take complete oral X-rays to ensure the healthiness of your gums, teeth, and jaw. X-rays will not be mandatory at all visits, and River Rock Dental will let you know if xrays are needed more then once a year. 

During the check-up, patients get a thorough examination for their teeth, gums, tongue, jaw, and neck. River Rock Dental or one of our experienced staff members will inspect every tooth for cavities, plaque, or damage with a small dental pick and a mirror. Looking at your gums will tell us if any gum disease exists or needs care. Your entire head area is examined for other related issues such as TMJ disorder. If required treatment is needed, River Rock Dental will take additional X-rays and diagnosis what the problem is.

Dental Cleaning

After the examination is complete, one of our professional and knowledgeable River Rock Dental staff members will perform a complete cleaning. Professional cleanings are encouraged twice a year to prevent cavities and quickly find and establish a treatment for any oral health conditions. A professional cleaning is secondary to the oral hygiene you maintain at home.
